Pleasure Is Self-Care
By Lulu 💋
Let's be honest.
Self-care has become a whole aesthetic. We buy candles that smell like expensive hotels, spend slow Sunday mornings making matcha, order silk pillowcases, and convince ourselves that drinking enough water will somehow fix everything.
And honestly?
I love all of it.
But there's one little thing that somehow never makes it onto those perfectly curated self-care checklists.
Pleasure.
Not the kind sold by movies or social media. Not the version that comes with expectations, pressure, or the need to impress anyone.
I'm talking about the quiet kind. The personal kind. The kind that makes you feel connected to yourself again.
Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that taking care of everyone else was responsible, while taking care of our own desires felt optional.
Maybe even selfish.
I don't believe that anymore.
Self-care isn't only about looking better.
It's about feeling better.
It's the first sip of coffee before the house wakes up.
Fresh sheets after a long day.
Reading one more chapter even though it's already midnight.
Buying flowers for yourself just because they're beautiful.
Lighting the candle you've been saving for a "special occasion."
Those tiny rituals don't change the world.
They change your world.
And pleasure deserves a place in that ritual too.
"Pleasure isn't something you have to earn. It's something you're allowed to experience."
We're allowed to enjoy our own company.
We're incredibly good at planning meetings, workouts, appointments, and dinner reservations.
But when was the last time you intentionally created a moment that belonged only to you?
No notifications.
No expectations.
No performance.
Just curiosity.
Maybe it's a long bath.
Maybe it's your favorite playlist filling the room while you dance around in oversized pajamas.
Maybe it's discovering a new side of intimacy and realizing that confidence grows every time you listen to your own body instead of everyone else's opinions.
You deserve moments that exist simply because they make you feel good.
Forget perfect.
The internet is full of impossible routines.
Wake up at 5 a.m.
Meditate for twenty minutes.
Drink green juice.
Journal.
Stretch.
Be productive.
Glow effortlessly.
Real life isn't like that.
Sometimes self-care is ordering takeout.
Sometimes it's saying no.
Sometimes it's canceling plans and spending the evening with a blanket, a good book, and absolutely no guilt.
Wellness isn't about becoming someone else.
It's about feeling more like yourself.
Why Lulumio?
I didn't want to create just another store.
I wanted a space where intimacy could be discussed without embarrassment.
Where beautiful design meets body-safe materials.
Where questions are welcome.
Where curiosity is celebrated.
And where pleasure is treated as a completely normal part of everyday wellbeing.
That's what you'll find here.
Not perfection.
Not unrealistic expectations.
Just honest conversations, thoughtful guides, little rituals, and gentle reminders that taking care of yourself includes every part of who you are.
A little note from Lulu 💋
Take the long bath.
Buy the flowers.
Wear the pretty pajamas even if nobody sees them.
Dance in your kitchen.
Laugh loudly.
Stay curious.
And never feel guilty for choosing yourself.
xoxo,
Lulu 💋
